MATHEMATICS IS NOT A SCIENCE

Creating a scientific revolution involves throwing out a spate of new ideals into the arena that includes – new guiding principles to use, new observations offered, revised or new conclusions stated, new laws realized, and explicit clarity for professional standards.

The first blog from 2010 that I wrote,  The Term Universe is Ambiguous & should be Scientifically Redefined, suggested 4 different classifications useful for scrutiny and critical analysis to determine the quality of the description and workings for the universe.   The 4th classification, The Mathematical Proposed Universe was, “This universe is purely exploratory mathematics; such as string theory, some aspects of quantum mechanics, and others.”

FRAMEWORK FOR DEVELOPING CAREER CHANGING RESEARCH PROJECTS

As a person interested in astronomy and astrophysics (or any science) there are various reasons why you would want to develop a research project.

Academically it is very important, but personally scientific research is exciting and there is an endless supply of topics to research and discover.  Not only is it exciting personally but there is a huge market potential if the public is made to be interested in it.

How can you make money with the science of astronomy or astrophysics?  Pick a subject and research it – write e-books, publish science papers, network with other liked minded people, get an academic advancement,  make a documentary,  start a new career, win the Nobel prize, the list goes on to develop into something very interesting and rewarding. Opening Open Access Science with Twitter Tweets

People are twittering to make general announcements to the public – leaving links to web pages, PDF, and blogs.  The latest discoveries, latest reports and best web pages are twittered for others to find out about.

Use the hash key (#) to search what others are leaving for links.  For example some of my favourities: #astronomy, #astrophysics, #redshift, #gammarays, #scientificrevolution, #sciencemethod, #openaccess, #openscience.

You can choose to follow users which will automatically send to your account all their tweets.  News sources, magazines, web sites, bloggers, and other users you follow allows you to keep on top of the latest news, research resources, interesting facts they know about, their research, or topics they develop.

Scientist will/can start using twitter more as a means to communicate to more people at once and open up their discoveries for others to know about.  Public and professional collaboration in Twitter will create open access science with feedback blogging that will promote public participation in developing and spreading scientific knowledge, information and create new discussions and ideas.

Always use the share buttons to spread the blogs and news items you found interesting to create open access science.

HOW TO CREATE SCIENCE

A scientist makes an observation and notices a problem or tries to answer the questions of why and how.  

Timothy Ferris said in his 1997 book The Whole Shebang- A State-Of-The Universe(s) Report, “Science is not a static body of dogma, to stray from which is to risk one’s epaulets stripped off in a ceremony of banishment from the scientific community.  It is a self-correcting system of inquiry, in which errors – of which there are, of course, plenty – are sooner or later detected by experiment or by more careful analysis.”

A scientist can make a discovery, or develop a new model.  Timothy Ferris also said in his book, “Through astrophysics, it became possible to go beyond describing how the sky looks and to begin learning how it got to be that way.”

Astronomers that want to go beyond observations in the visual can do astronomy and astrophysics by the scientific method and create new science several different ways.  They can notice a problem or ask the questions why or how.  They support a hypothesis by gathering quantitative and qualitative data form observations and by using problem solving techniques and critical thinking to support conclusions to test new or present theories. 

To start the process, use critical thinking and the scientific method to support why and how.  Alternatively see a problem and seek the solution by designing experiments and/or gather data to support a hypothesis. 

When one wants to contribute a new theory or model they must formulate a hypothesis and test it by experiments and gather data to support the conclusion(s).  The data is analyzed and interpreted which supports the hypothesis or rejects the hypothesis which will require the hypothesis to be modified. 

This website supports open access science and public collaboration vs the old system of peer review.  You are a scientist too – You are an astrophysicist too – You are an astronomer too – add your comments, make your contributions with open access science and public collaboration.  Together we can construct a new scientific revolution to open up a new Universe unknown to previous generations.

SCIENTIFIC REVOLUTION – GOALS FOR THE WEBSITE

This website is to get off the ground a scientific revolution to change the perceptions of the detectable Universe.  I plan to start that (soon after a foundation is laid) by introducing a critical experiment (experimentum crucis) in the electromagnetic spectrum. 

I will develop and teach how to make new discoveries in astronomy and astrophysics using science discovery methodologies to validate or falsify present or future hypothesises, models, theories, and/or claims as part of a foundation.

I will also promote a new concept of open access science and public collaboration vs the old method of peer review. 

Understanding the results of the critical experiment has been the key to unlock many mysteries of the Universe (that presently perplex the scientific community) which will be revealed as the blog content grows.

I ask you to join me in this journey of scientific revolution and discovery as we lay down together the foundation for science to progress to new heights.

STRETCHED LIGHT or WEAK ENERGY DETECTION?

There is the present hypothesis that space is expanding and that light gets stretched into the red. This hypothesis has been developed from Hubble’s Law which is considered to be the measurement of light being stretched into the red as space is expanding.  A whole field of “weird or strange” science has been developed from this conclusion such as the metric expansion of space, the sure evidence for the big bang model, and more.

The Red Shift Theory (see video below) developed from the conclusions of the LED experiment shows us that light energy detected is either weak or strong.   In the visual electromagnetic spectrum blue light is a higher energy light colour and the weakest energy colour light is red.  The light energy from distance objects seen is weaker thus red.

I submit a new hypothesis (for testing) gained from understanding the LED experiment results: The cosmological redshift and the redshift  is not caused from space expanding that stretches light or the Doppler Effect for distance objects but because the energy detected is weaker. The Red Shift Theory Video


This video had almost 1,000 views then it was deleted and Google would not tell me why or how .  I decided not to upload it a second time because I will be uploading shorter videos to go with future blogs.

The Discovery of the Red Shift Theory

To mankind the Doppler Effect seemed to be the only cause for the red shift, but there were the abnormalities that didn’t add up. For me it was; I perceived a different expanding universe (which will be scientifically explained later to replace the Big bang) that was not an expanding cloud that was speeding away at an increasing rate at the edges.  I tried to fit the model of the redshift described into the new model of the true expanding universe but could not make it fit. Scientific Method

The Scientific Method refers to various formulized systems of empirical, investigative, and/or rational methodologies, including but not necessary limited to; provable experiments, various reasoning, comparative logic, supported conclusions, measurements, mathematics, observations, testing, analyzing, and sampling – used to support a scientific fact, theory, law or hypothesis.

There should be a complete understanding which body of Scientific Method is used to support a scientific fact, theory, law or hypothesis.  Employing them all would be the best proof.

There must be a distinction made between the quality of Scientific Method used, when analyzing between competing theories, laws, hypothesizes, or scientific facts.  If one competing model is supported by the best sets of scientific methodologies it should be the accepted likely model of what is the universe.

There also must be a distinction when no Scientific Method is being used for supporting a stated scientific fact, law, theory, or hypothesis.

There should be no more statements made in astrophysics that are not proven by a Scientific Method system of investigative empirical rational scientific coherent methodology.

Scientific Method should also include scientific elimination of irrational statements.

The Term Universe is Ambiguous & should be Scientifically Redefined.

The description of what is our universe is confusing and generally ambiguous.  There is a need to develop in science methodology a scientific framework for providing clarity, and a way to judge what kind of universe is being proposed for our understanding.  

There are various ideas, models, science statements, hypothesizes, mathematical calculations, theories, etc. that are used to describe the universe. Which ones are useful?  Which ones are the best? Which ones are out to lunch?  Which ones are reasonable?  Which ones are imaginations?  Which ones are weak?

The public and the science community require a system to judge between the different ideas offered for acceptance or consideration for what is our real universe to weed out the junk, determine working models, and recognize the best description for models, theories, mathematical calculations, or for observations.  Read the rest of this entry »
